HoMoSEXuality...

According to Wikipedia, Homosexuality refers to sexual behavior with or attraction to people of the same sex, or to a homosexual orientation. As a sexual orientation, homosexuality refers to "an enduring pattern of or disposition to experience sexual, affectional, or romantic attractions primarily to" persons of the same sex; "it also refers to an individual’s sense of personal and social identity based on those attractions, behaviors expressing them, and membership in a community of others who share them. Etymologically, the word homosexual is a Greek and Latin hybrid with homos (sometimes confused with the later Latin meaning of "man", as in Homo sapiens) deriving from the Greek word for same, thus connoting sexual acts and affections between members of the same sex, including lesbianism. The word gay generally refers to male homosexuality, but is sometimes used in a broader sense, especially in the media, to refer to homosexuality in general. In the context of sexuality, the word lesbian, always denotes female homosexuality.
In the Philippine society, homosexuality is still a taboo and unaccepted which why religious groups discriminate the homosexuals. Yet if we would just be very observant in our community, look around us, some religious ministers and leaders are homosexuals! Movie directors, writers, artists, reporters, some of them are homosexuals, aren’t they? Then why are these people from third sex not being treated like normal human being should be regarded? Admit it or not, most of them are much more talented and skillful compared to us.

They too are God’s creation, human beings like us who should be loved and accepted. It is not their fault to be born gays and lesbians, faultless to love people of the same sex. Many of them tried to control their feelings and their true identity with the fear that people around them will mock them and will not accept them for who they are. Yet most of them failed and ended up unhappy. Good for those who were true to themselves and presented to these judgemental creatures who they really are.

Think about it… what if we were born like them, gays or lesbians… how would you feel when people discriminate you, or worse, ignore your presence? Be thankful of what and who we are, but be reminded that they too deserve to live a normal life being treated fairly by all of us.

Very well said and express Ms. Scribbling. I have been subscribing RSS feed to your blog eversince. You are such an articulate person and it just
show how broad and wide your thinking is.

The problem with other people and specially in a society such as the
Philippines, was that they tend to search and look for other´s people mistake and imperfection instaed of asking themselves first. Moralist as what they call them. Most developing third world country turns in this culture. A Macho Society. Being a Catholic nation is not the
answer ,why?, Spain is a Catholic and Italy is catholic nations but look at how they respect and accept this 3rd sex culture.Respect for individuality, this is what other people´s need. I agree with you that mostly, the 3rd sex are the most creative and productive people. Who are the best designers, artist, even great people such as Eleanor Roosevelt the wife of one of the US President is Gay, writing such eloquent love letters to her lover, her love for her lover made her one of the most famous and strong first lady in the US history. Even Alexander the great was gay. Visit this link http://www.sappho.com
One of the famous female writer is a gay, try to see the movie the Hours, you will fall in love with it with the story of Mrs. Dalloway and try also see Broke Back Mountain. Im sure in your country film such this are not accepted. I have seen a Filipino movie dealing about female gays entitled Romeo and Juliet. It was widely accepted internationally but not in your country.
And they said gays are the best lovers. How can a man hold
the hand of another man and walk in a crowded place,?, in a place called Philippines or any other place,?. If that is not a true and honest love , we need a new definition of love to be written in wikipedia, again.

Keep writing Ms. Scribbling.
